Thermostatic Radiator Valves (T.R.V.'s)
We are all guilty of setting our TRV's (thermostatic radiator valves) and forgetting about them. It is good practice once a month or six weekly to open and close you TRV's so that the pins within the valves dont get stuck, to replace a faulty valve usually requires the heating system to be drained down which by the time you have added central heating inhibitor and labour costs an £8 TRV becomes £90 - £120 which probably wouldnt be necessary if regular usuage of the valve was undertaken.
