Full System or Combi Boiler
Most people nowadays when considering a boiler change or new heating system tend to get bombarded with combi boiler, combi boiler! A combination boiler will provide both heating and hot water instantly rather than having a seperate hot water tank. Combination boilers are a good alternative when space is of essence, only two people or less live in the house or you have an electric shower wet room. Fitting a combi boiler in a family home with 4 or more people living in it is something we at Choice Heating would not recommend. The main problem with combi boilers in big households is if the boiler breaks down you are left with no heating or hot water. We would recommend a system boiler with a seperate hot water cylinder. A majority of the time this would allow for an immersion heater to be fitted so you still have hot water if the boiler breaks down.
Lots of people these days like powerful showers which again is not possible with a combi boiler. So if you are considering a new boiler or heating system take a moment consider any other projects you may be looking to undertake and consider your boiler choice carefully. Radiators
Whether you need one or a full set, Choice Heating can replace your radiators with the most suitable type and size for your room. Radiators will generally be fitted under windows as this is considered to be the most effcient place but if you have a special requirement for a radiator to be fitted elsewhere we can discuss this with and decide on the best solution. We can also fit specialist radiators such as towel rails in bathrooms.
